St. Marys Area Ambulance Service is a non-profit Community Organization established by Jim Costanzo in 1967, and has been serving residents of St. Marys and surrounding areas with the highest quality emergency medical services since that time. It is with the support through the annual subscription program that SMAAS can continue to provide this service to the community. Current subscriptions have exceeded 3,300, and we are looking to add more support from the Community.
SMAAS strives to provide the best health care and transportation for the sick and injured. Operating costs, call volumes, and transport between facility greatly increased in the past 2 years, with 3,378 calls dispatched in 2022. The funds generated from the subscription program are used to obtain the most up-to-date vehicles and equipment, and provide ongoing training and education to our staff.
